
6-Inch Gluten-Free Cake
Description
The cake has a rich and decadent chocolaty flavor, thanks to the addition of some cocoa powder. Add your favorite flavor frosting for a little treat, if you want to add frosting!

First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Heavily grease one 6-inch round cake pan.

In a mixing bowl, add coconut sugar, gluten-free flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda. Stir together.

Then, add in melted coconut oil, vanilla, and apple cider vinegar. Stir together.

Slowly pour in the hot water. Mix to fully combine.

Transfer the batter to your greased 6-inch cake pan.

Bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with only moist crumbs.

Remove the cooked cake from the oven. Allow the cake to fully cool before topping with frosting (optional).
Note
Do not overbake. Bake only until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
