Add these caramelized bananas to French toast, pancakes, waffles, or simply top with a drizzle of peanut butter and chocolate!  The bananas become soft, gooey, and golden-brown.

Instructions

6 steps
1

First, add coconut oil to a large skillet over medium heat.

2

Once the oil is slightly hot, add the halved bananas with the cut side touching the pan.

3

Sprinkle sugar over the tops and sides of the halved bananas, allowing the sugar to start to caramelize and melt in the bottom of the pan.

4

Cook for about 3 minutes. Then carefully flip.

5

Sprinkle more coconut sugar and cinnamon (optional) on top.

6

Finally, remove from heat and serve!

Recipe Notes

Use yellow bananas.  Green is too tart and brown is too mushy for this recipe
