This bread for great for sandwiches! Use whatever sandwich ingredients you like!

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.

  2. Add the lukewarm water —start with 3 cups, adding up to half a cup extra until the mixture comes together into a smooth dough. Mix for approximately 3 minutes.

  3. Cover with plastic wrap and allow the mixture to rise at room temperature for about 2 hours.

  4. Divide the mixture into two and shape it into oblong loaves. Place on a lined baking tray and smooth the top with wet fingers. Dust the top with rice flour and cover loosely with a tea towel. Rest for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 450ºF/220ºC

  5. Bake the loaves for 30 minutes or until crispy on the outside and gently browned.

  6. Let the ciabatta cool down before slicing.
