Description

The combination of cucumber, creamy yogurt, and aromatic fresh herbs creates a cool, creamy dip packed with flavors.

Things to note: The cucumber should be strained well, or the dip will become too watery.

Special equipment: kitchen towel to strain the cucumber.

  1. Mix the yogurt, dill, mint, garlic, and lemon juice in a bowl and stir well until thoroughly combined.

  2. Add the cucumber to a separate bowl with a pinch of salt and leave it to stand for 10 minutes. Transfer the cucumber onto a kitchen towel and squeeze out any excess water.
    You can also use cheesecloth, or even just your hands!
  3. Add the cucumber and pepper to the yogurt mixture and stir well.
  4. Taste, and adjust the seasoning if desired.

  5. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and serve with pita wedges or chips.
