Double-Layer Protein Bars with Chocolate, Peanut & Maldon Salt

The double-layer protein bar with chocolate, peanut, and Maldon salt is a modern treat born from a long journey of flavor and function.

Centuries ago, athletes in ancient Greece snacked on honey and sesame seeds for strength, while South American civilizations cherished peanuts as a vital crop, and the Mayans sipped cacao as a sacred drink.

Over time, these simple, powerful ingredients traveled across continents, blending into the foods we adore today.

In the late 20th century, as fitness culture exploded, the idea of the protein bar was created—something quick, portable, and nourishing.

But what makes this bar special is its gourmet twist: smooth chocolate layered with rich peanut butter, finished with delicate flakes of Maldon salt, a British classic prized since 1882.

It’s not just a snack—it’s a little piece of culinary history in every bite, offering strength, indulgence, and sophistication all at once.

Hi, I believe there is a mistake on the recipe ingredients for the peanut layer, it reads: 100 g Milk (or Plant Milk), 50 g Honey,75 g Almond Flour,75 g Oat Flour. Could you please double check and fix? I would love to try it. Thank you!
