Berries are among the healthiest foods on earth. They have potent anti-inflammatory properties and are full of prebiotics.

Special equipment: A blender; plastic or wood stirring utensil; a fine mesh strainer; a glass bottle with lid for storage.

Instructions

  1. Add berries to a blender and top with 50 ml of filtered water. Blend until smooth, and pass through a sieve to remove any seeds.
  1. Mix cultured kefir and the blended berries together and transfer the mixture to a glass jar. Cap the jar and leave to ferment for 24-48h.
  1. Refrigerate for up to one week.

    I love how amazing water kefir flavors can be made with a very small handful of ingredients. Straining the seeds out makes for a more pleasant final beverage–Thanks for the recipe!
