Smoky Chipotle and Pinto Bean Hummus Recipe

Description

This recipe features cooked (or canned) pinto beans, in addition to some smoky chipotle peppers in adobo sauce.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Rinse and drain the canned pinto beans.
  2. Add the drained pinto beans, grated garlic, olive oil, canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, and lime juice to a food processor.
  3. Blend the contents until smooth.
  4. Taste, and add Kosher salt and freshly-ground black pepper as desired.
  5. Serve when ready.

Note

All types of canned peas and beans will work this recipe. You can add tahini if you want that more classic hummus flavor!
