Description

You can snack on the cloves straight from the jar, or add them to rice dishes, garlic bread (!!!), or even roasted veggies…

Prep time: 10 min

Total time: 7 days if making your own pickled garlic

Yield: 1 jar

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. To make your own pickled garlic, combine the white wine vinegar, the water, and salt in a small pan. Bring to a simmer and stir to dissolve the salt.
  2. Turn off the heat and add any additional flavourings you wish. Place the peeled garlic cloves into a sterilised jar and cover them with the brine.
  3. Allow the garlic to pickle for at least 1 week in the refrigerator before enjoying!
  4. After one week, drain the pickling liquid and rinse the garlic cloves.

  5. Place the garlic cloves into a clean glass jar and add the sriracha, thyme and black pepper.

  6. Shake the jar vigorously until ingredients are well combined.
  7. Taste the contents, and and add more sriracha to increase the heat, if desired. If you would like to tone it down, use a bit less sriracha and add a splash of water!

Great flavor combinations here. Sriracha already contains a good bit of garlic, but I can never get enough garlic in my life. Love this garlic-heavy version.
