Spicy Togarashi Tofu

For this baked tofu recipe, simply mix a bunch of cubed tofu with Chinese mustard (or yellow American mustard), shichimi togarashi spice blend, red pepper flakes, and some of your favorite hot sauce. Bake for about 20 minutes at 350˚F.

Description

Serve the spicy baked tofu hot or cold, in salads or as a simple side dish by itself, with some Tamari or soy sauce on the side for dipping.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350˚F.

  1. Cut the extra-firm tofu into cubes, and gently toss the tofu in a medium-sized mixing bowl with the mustard, hot sauce, shichimi togarashi spice blend, and red pepper flakes.

  1. Place the seasoned spicy tofu on a parchment paper-lined sheet tray, and bake at 350˚F for roughly twenty minutes.

  1. Serve warm, with some tamari or gluten-free soy sauce.

Note

This is an easy and healthy snack to serve on an appetizer tray with some toothpick skewers at a party.
