Combining creamy yogurt and sweet caramelized bananas creates a mouthwatering treat that will satisfy your cravings. This indulgent treat is perfect if you have minimal prep time; you can enjoy a delectable and healthier version of a beloved dessert

Things to note: For a vegan-friendly version, remove the Greek yogurt and add coconut yogurt

Special equipment: Non-stick frying pan.

  1. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and allow it to melt. Add the brown sugar and mix. Place the banana in the skillet, cut side down. Cook for 2 minutes until the bananas turn golden brown and start to caramelize. Turn and cook them for another 2 minutes on the other side.
  2. Remove the skillet from the heat, and drizzle in the vanilla extract.

  3. Mix the vanilla extract with the yogurt in a mixing bowl. Spoon the yogurt between serving bowls.
  4. Add the cooked banana to the yogurt, then finish with a drizzle of caramel sauce and some almond flakes.
  5. Serve immediately.

    This is a really fun take on your “banana split”. I saw an ice cream flavor recently with caramelized bananas–it would be fun to make a dairy-free version to use here!
